This afternoon, the House Transportation & Economic Development Appropriations Committee is planning on taking $426 million of your gas tax dollars from the Transportation Trust Fund. Please take a moment from your busy work day and call your Florida Legislator. With unemployment at almost 12%, tell them this diversion of critical Transportation Trust Fund dollars will kill jobs and that you oppose the raiding of trust fund dollars.

The Florida Senate is supportive of protecting the Transportation Trust Fund – it is the House Committee that is planning on diverting $426 million. When calling your Florida Legislators, please be sure to thank your Senator for working hard to protect the Transportation Trust Fund, and, tell your House member to take a stand against raiding the Transportation Trust Fund.
