The purpose of this report, Cornerrtone Revisited is to summarize the srare's major progress afrer five years, and to lay out priorities For future action by Florida's leaders and cirizens. Chapter one of chis report shows how jobs in each of rhe six industry clusters have expanded or declined in Florida and in the nation. Chapter two describes what Florida has done to improve its economic foundations and suggests priorities for additional action. Finally, the Action Plan on page 16 outlines how the Florida Chamber plans to address the state's remaining economic challenges. The bottom line of Cornerstone Revisited: action plan is to renew a commirment to Cornerstoneioriginal recommendations to strengthen Florida's economic foundations. At stake are the state's most vital current and future inreresrs - the growth and competitiveness of Florida's economy, high-paying jobs and a high quality of life for all its citizens.
