Foundations for Economic Leadership
The study became the de facto state blueprint for creating a healthy economy. Cornerstone assessed Florida's long-term economic prospects, made recommendations for change and set the stage for follow-up reports on Florida's economic foundations. The state's Department of Commerce adopted the report to target key industries.
The Florida Chamber Foundation commissioned the Cornerstone report in 1989.
