On March 3, 2010, at 8 a.m., the House Economic Development Policy Committee met to workshop HB 607 – Tax Credits for Research and Development - by Representative Scott Plakon (R- Longwood) and hear from space industry professionals regarding the current opportunities for Florida. At 3:15 p.m., the Senate Commerce Committee considered several important space related bills, including SB 1776 by Senator Thad Altman (R - Melbourne) which will allow more flexibility of critical funds for use on immediate space projects.
